We welcome your broken heart
May this gathering be a warm hearth on your grief pilgrimage.
Whether you are grieving the loss of a mother or a child, we offer this as a space of refuge for your heart as the rest of the world prepares to celebrate regular Mother’s Day.Â
Prepare for Your Broken Open Heart: Bereaved Mother's Day GatheringÂ
Before our time together, please gather ...
Anything that helps you feel grounded and comfortable like a cup of warm tea and a warm blanket or burning your favorite incenseÂ

As you prepare to enter this sacred circle of grief, we encourage you to prepare. Although you will be part of a community of care, you will also need to tend your own body, mind and heart. Strong feelings are likely to arise, and we want to make sure you feel supported and nourished. Here are a few suggestions.
-After a particularly intense grief experience–whether your own or witnessing to others–take a warm bath with salts and oils, candles and water or tea to sip.
-Let your people know that you are engaged in deep grief work, so that if you are extra emotional or vulnerable they will be more understanding and supportive.
-Consider individual psychotherapy or spiritual direction as a parallel to participating in the Wild Heart community to support your unfolding process.
-Create a special place in your home–an altar or shrine with pictures of loved ones who have died, teachers or archetypal beings that are meaningful to you–dedicated to this work.
-Before each session, light a candle and invoke sacred space.
-After each session, take a moment to consciously breathe and integrate what you have experienced into your body before going back out into the world.
