 Is there a longing in you that has never quite found its voice? Â
Across the mystical traditions, the voice is a doorway. The mystical heart is where devotion springs forth, and through the voice we can contact our longing with fervor. That longing is an expression of love itself, and love is the embodied way the divine touches our humanity. It is how we connect, and how we taste the sweetness of being alive. You are made for this love.
When we swallow our own voice, we swallow our longing with it, and we can live a life of estrangement from our own essence. By consciously peeling back the layers that keep us from the love already surrounding us, and by giving that longing a voice, we return to what we are.
In this gathering, we move between teaching, practice, and stillness, exploring the mystical dimensions of the heart through silence, listening, voice, writing, and movement. We begin by finding the rhythm of the heart itself, then turn to the human voice as the most beautiful of instruments, tracing devotion through the Bhakti tradition and its longing for reunification. We practice sama, the mystical art of listening in the Islamic tradition, and sit together in silence to contact our own mystical heart song.
From there we turn toward the deeper ache underneath all of this. Our longing for love. The separation many of us perceive from our original unity with the divine. And the way we relate to the divine so often mirrors the way we attach to each other. We sing, we chant, and we let the wisdom ways remind us that the longing itself is holy.
When our hearts awaken to love, we feel the ache for the preventable injustice, horrific violence and heartbreaks of this world and know that another way is possible. In our time together, we turn that ache toward vision, exploring what embodied love could look like, not only in our own hearts but in the world we long to help heal.

Everything offered is an invitation, not a requirement. No singing experience is necessary, and you are always welcome to participate in your own way and at your own pace, including resting, listening, or simply being present. You need only a readiness to listen and to be touched by your own longing.

 Willow Brook Â
Willow Brook is a love coach, devotional singer, and interspiritual companion who supports people in awakening to sacred intimacy, embodied aliveness, and the love that has been waiting within them all along. As co-founder of Wild Heart, she weaves sacred song into every space she holds.
With a lifetime on an interspiritual path devoted to the mystical heart of Islam and over a decade teaching in classrooms and yoga studios across the world, Willow helps people reconnect with their voice and body as vehicles for healing and joy. She integrates social justice and spirituality throughout her teaching, believing that love and liberation are inseparable. She has led retreats and gatherings alongside Mirabai Starr since 2021.
