Do you long for a spirituality that honors both fierce truth and tender mercy?

Our world has long been shaped by systems that have often overlooked or diminished the sacred feminine. Many spiritual traditions emphasize transcendence over embodiment, detachment over connection, and certainty over the fertile ground of not-knowing. In this imbalance, many of us have felt something essential missing from our spiritual lives.

The wisdom of the feminine offers a revolutionary path—one that embraces the holy mess of being human, honors our desires as sacred, and recognizes that our bodies and the earth are not obstacles to overcome but vessels of the divine.

Join award-winning author Mirabai Starr for an immersive weekend retreat exploring the Divine Feminine across spiritual traditions. Through teachings, contemplative practices, writing, and sacred song, you'll discover how these wisdom figures can become living allies on your spiritual path.

This retreat is an invitation for people of all genders who yearn for a more wildly creative, tenderly inclusive space for transformation.

A Sanctuary for Your Wild, Messy, Holy Heart

We draw from the wellspring of feminine wisdom to brighten and soothe your spirit, embolden and uplift your heart, and weave beloved community.

Through the teachings of these mystics and goddesses across traditions, we'll explore dimensions of feminine spirituality that offer particular medicine for our troubled times:

  • The sacred practice of rest and sabbath
  • The transformative power of longing for the divine
  • The courageous work of mending our broken world

The feminine face of the Holy One honors our desires as pathways to the sacred, embraces our bodies as vessels of wisdom, and recognizes that our longing for connection is itself a form of prayer.

"Hearing about mystic women was so nourrishing, all the poetry and readings too! The songs were so soothing, a special thanks to Willow! I had sone insights, that it’s ok, it’s perfect if I am inspired by more than one spiritual tradition, that it’s ok, it’s perfect if sometimes I am messy or emotionnal, etc. That my fire is sane, is sacred. The most beautiful gift was that the retreat had re-connected me to my sacred feminine aspect, I feel the waters of the Divine Mother flowing more freely, both tenderly and fiercely in me. More than ever I want to give her my voice. It has stimulated my creativity in a wonderful way. I have received other awesome gifts, like the possibility of a safe space and that so precious connection feeling with the community, and the courage and some hope for what’s to come. Thanks so much for all that!"

 Your Journey Through the Weekend:

Friday, June 27 (5-7pm Pacific):

Laying Down Your Burden

We begin with an interspiritual Shabbat ceremony that welcomes the Shekinah—the feminine presence of the divine. This ancient practice offers a revolutionary invitation: to lay down your burdens and reclaim sacred rest as an act of spiritual resistance.

Saturday, June 28 (8-11am Pacific):

Longing for God

Explore the passionate mysticism of Teresa of Avila, Rabia al-Adawiyya, the poet Mirabai, and Lalleshwari. Through their words and wisdom, discover how spiritual yearning can become a pathway to transformation rather than an obstacle to overcome.

Sunday, June 29 (8-11am Pacific):

Mending the World

Draw inspiration from Miriam, Hildegard of Bingen, Tara, and Quan Yin—wisdom figures who teach us to channel our spiritual awakening into compassionate action. Learn how the feminine way of justice-making differs from dominant paradigms.

 Each session includes:

  • Teachings from Mirabai on women mystics and goddesses
  • Guided meditation and writing practices
  • Small group sharing circles
  • Sacred chanting with Willow Brook
  • Live Q&A

"The teachings were illuminating. I attended last year when it was all new to me, I missed a lot the first time around. Everything about the writing- the lectio of the poetry, the prompts, but particularly the sharing. Last year's Wild Mercy was the first time I had written like that then shared with other seekers unknown to me, and I was terrified! After multiple experiences in various settings, I still have butterflies every time, well maybe actually moths
because I am drawn to that flame of vulnerability, and would have been sad to miss it."
