 Ordinary Mysticism Scavenger Hunt:Â
Discover the Sacred Hidden in Plain Sight
A Free Gathering with Mirabai Starr
July 19-20, 2025 | 11am Pacific | 60 minutes daily
(Join live or receive the recording)
What if the sacred you've been seeking in temples and ashrams has been hiding in your kitchen, your heartbreak, and your hurried Tuesday mornings all along?Â
Enter the temple of your ordinary life.
We dare you to wander away from the religious institutions that have curated your relationship with the divine, and reclaim the holiness of your own life. During the course of two days, we will offer clues to guide you into the heart of the ordinary and uncover the treasures buried there.
Let's go on a little expedition to excavate the awe brimming from the places we may have overlooked: your kids and co-workers, snacks and hot baths, pumping gas and pumping iron. Rain on the roof. Heartbreak.
The sacred lies hidden in plain sight. It takes courage and patience to seek it, to uncover it, to exalt it.
Once you open yourself to the presence of the sacred outside the walls of the institutionalized religions, you begin to see it everywhere. You are training your gaze, reclaiming your birthright.

Join us for this free two-day scavenger hunt where we will:Â
- Follow evocative clues to uncover the treasures buried in your everyday life
- Explore writing prompts that transform ordinary moments into sacred encounters
- Discover the divine presence in food, relationships, work, and even heartbreak
- Connect with an active online community of fellow ordinary mystics
- Reclaim your birthright to intimacy with the sacred without religious intermediaries
This Free Gathering Is For You If:Â
- You're longing for deeper meaning in a culture of triviality
- Your heart is breaking for the suffering of the world
- You feel a disconnection from nature/Mother Earth
- You're faced with the "Tyranny of Tasks" (too busy, over-extended)
- You have a growing aversion to organized religion
- You're curious about discovering the divine in unlikely places
- You want permission to trust your own mystical experiences
All live gatherings are recorded and available to registrants through July 27.

If you are fed up with politics, turned-off by religion, and despairing over the climate catastrophe, you are in good company. These are harrowing times. People are leaving the church in droves, walking away from the synagogue and circumventing the mosque.
And yet… and yet… our thirst for beauty and our hunger for meaning is more intense than ever.
"I absolutely recommend this for all women and men seeking deeper commitment to living the Sacred Life, every day - in the ordinary moments of every day, among the ordinary people encountered every day. It is rich in meaning, in sacred truth and opportunity for writing freely and sharing with this beautiful community that naturally yearns for such space as provided by Wild Heart. I am so very grateful to be part of this community. It has taken me so long to find such a one."
— Lee P.
Through Our Two Days Together, You'll:Â

Day 1:
Reclaim Your Mystical Birthright
Discover that you don't need to be religious to be spiritual, and learn to trust your own direct encounters with the divine.

Day 2:
Sacred Treasure in Unexpected Places
Follow clues to uncover the holy presence in food, sex, work, entertainment, and even your struggles—places you may have discounted as non-spiritual.

How do you reclaim the spiritual bounty of your days, trusting that everything you need to connect with the divine and step up as an instrument of peace is available in any given moment?
Sometimes when we deconstruct cherished structures, an unimagined liberation pours forth.
"I am deeply grateful for the creation of this Scavenger Hunt. Not only did I enjoy the prompts and my responses, I delighted in reading the responses of other participants and dialoguing with them."
— Kay D.
