Welcome to...

Yin & Yoga Nidra  to Honor the Dead

 with Willow Brook

November 3rd, 5-7pm Pacific

2 hours of deep embodied restoration to connect to the inner life and remember the ancestors

Thank you for saying yes

It is a true gift to share this practice with you. Yin yoga is one of my most trusted companions in life that helps me to live in harmony and return to what’s true. May these hours together deeply rejuvenate all of us as we remember the ones who have walked before.

Your recording is below

As you prepare to practice, find a quiet space in your home where you can settle into deep rest. Prepare your practice area for ceremony in whatever way feels true to you. I invite you to light a candle before we being and create an ancestor altar with photos and meaningful objects. Collect items you can use as props like pillows or folded blankets to support you during practice. The more comfort the better!

More preparation items are below.

Before we meet

Write a letter

I invite you to write to a loved one who has died.

Gather something that brings you comfort and a cup of water, light a candle, find a blank piece of paper and address it to a beloved ancestor who has died.

Write their name at the top and write them a letter. If you don’t have a specific loved one in mind, address your letter in any way you wish.

Write to this ancestor about the moments that you think of them and long to have them with you. What do you remember about them? What do you long to tell them? Hear from them? Write to them about what weighs on your heart. What do you miss about them? What wisdom do they have to share with you?

Remember to breathe deep as you do this and take good care of yourself after.

You way wish to place this letter on your ancestor altar.
